OUR CROPS

WH Porter Farms grows premium produce on the Angus coast, supplying major UK retailers and processors. Our operation includes strawberries, quality potatoes, and cereal crops for seed, malting, and feed. Each crop benefits from our coastal land, sustainable farming practices, and commitment to quality that has defined our family farm for generations.

STRAWBERRIES

We grow 90 acres of strawberries, focusing on premium varieties. Each variety is carefully selected for its outstanding appearance, taste, texture, natural disease resistance, and extended shelf life. We supply the UK’s leading retailers through ASF, our marketing agent, of which W.H. Porter was a director for 30 years. Our strawberries go to Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference, M&S Red Diamond, as well as premium lines for Aldi, Asda, and others. Each berry is grown with care and attention to quality, harvested at peak ripeness, and delivered fresh to meet the high standards expected by both retailers and consumers.

POTATOES

We grow potatoes to supply many of the UK’s leading supermarket chains and processors through the Scottish Potato Cooperative (ScotPot). Working closely with ScotPot allows us to deliver high-quality potatoes, ensuring consistency, traceability, and strong representation in both retail and processing markets.

OUR CEREALS

We grow winter wheat and spring barley across our arable rotation, producing grain for seed, malting, and animal feed markets. Careful variety selection and crop management ensure strong yields and high-quality grain, supporting both the malting industry and feed supply chains while contributing to sustainable arable farming in Scotland.
